IMPORTANT OUT OF CHARACTER!
New Valentine's Skin! Isn't it sooo cute? I like the girl and her pikachu outfit. Now, we're still making the boards. Of course then we'll have to make the threads which provide some information on said area! >/ But don't worry, we'll open some day!...
How does one day in 2010 sound to you? >|;;

Welcome to PDMR!
Makinoshan Region was, at a point in time, one of the most fortunate regions in the world. It was huge with many routes and extremely beautiful, breath taking natural creations, unharmed by the many cities which had been built in Makinoshan Region. It was unique in shape, two large areas of land on the western and eastern side with a huge island floating in between the circular sea which divided the two portions of the region. A frosty island sat under the smaller island- now called Elemental Island- serving as a resting place for those who had to cross the sea in order to get to the other side of the region. A small chain of islands lived high in the north. Like most regions Makinoshan had a League. However due to unfortunate circumstances the League had been... destroyed. After sixteen years the region is one again blooming into it's original beauty with a new League. All trainers are now flocking to the magnificent region of Makinoshan!

IMPORTANT IN CHARACTER!
Hm. Well, nothing seems out of the ordinary, as it appears. Where rather little trainers are flocking to Makinoshan (frankly, some people seem rather happy with their isolation from the rest of the regions) strange things are happening in the Destination Region, as Makinoshan has been nicknamed. For one thing the ancient True Shadow pokémon, Tsgna (ZIG-nah), seems to be alive. Not good...

West Makinoshan
Strong winter snow warning.
East Makinoshan
Strong winter storm warning.

my life is just a eternity of solitude
-whenever i needed a shoulder to cry on i looked beside me
there was no one there-
-whenever i needed a hug i wait for one of my friends
they never came-
-whenever i needed a hand to hold i looked everywhere
but all i could do was cry-

Name:
Maira Kiyaku Minaii Leagionarre
Pronunciation:
MAI-rah Kee-YAH-koo Min-NAY-yee Lee-GEE-oh-nair
Meaning:
Maira Kiyaku: Bitter broken promise.
Pronunciation:
My-rah
Alias:
Mai, Angst, Artemis, some others shoved in there.

Age:
16 ZOMG, Maira's the big one seven as of November second.

Gender:
Female

Pokémon:
Fire-Bird, shiny blaziken, female.
Alias: 'B

A different type of pokémon, I'll assure you. She is an expert is being sly, being witty, and being quite annoying. Although, you can't deny it- she is Maira's strongest pokémon, and that's saying something.
Colour= RED
Psychic-Dream, shiny gardevoir, male.
Alias: Psy.

Another strange being. Modest and a big help in the kitchen (Maira nor Fire-Bird are very good with pots and pans. They end up burning everything), Psy's the kind of psychic you really want to be by your side. Although you really don't want to get him mad- he can be quite vengeful. Although certainly not as easy to anger as his allies.
Colour= CYAN

Description:
Maira wears a tight fitting, lavender lavender tube top with a single white stripe running across it. She prefers short sleeves more than long sleeves as they don't burn up whenever she used a Fire Punch and the tight-fitting-ness is... umm... well, for one thing, it doesn't rip whenever you jump through the treetops!
Okay, so next up- her skirt. Yes, Maira wears a skirt most of the time, it being a pure, fire engine red with orange-yellow spikes protruding from the bottom, similar to flames but to pointy to really be called fire. You've seen a blaziken's feet, right? Yeah, just imagine that, and turn it into a skirt.
Now for more of the... unnatural parts of Maira's whole description. So, her hair for one thing, is not rainbow. It's more azure. And then the 'rainbow' you all so love- it's pearly white, red, and orange streaks shoved in their. It reaches her shoulders as she cut them not too long ago.
Other than her hair would be her hands... if you can call them 'hands'. Her hands have been transformed into huge talons. Bird talons. And they're real light brown, almost white, and they're big. Really big. Watermelon big. And they have three fingers, each ending into curved nails. Really sharp for killing anything that likes chicken... sort of. Although they seem large and hard to handle her claws are actually very light having tiny holes in their bones. Similar to the bones of most bird. That way her claws are, in reality, quite light yet flexible at the same time allowing more possibilities while being strong and durable.
So, on her back, Maira has a horn thing. Yeah, a horn. Sort of oval shaped, dark orange, glows depending on the emotion Maira's sensing. It is attached her spinal cord by a thick bridge of nerves which makes this very growth on her back the most sensitive part of Maira's whole being. Her enemies are many so this information is best to be kept secret. As in, shut up; go away, come again another day.
Well, there is something a bit strange. You see, the bandana she always has... it's gone. And then she has nothing on her feet but her toe nails are rather sharp. Plus her eyes. Well, they are rather fascinating. Right eye is a strong bright red and her left eye is a nice, soft blue. Odd one, isn't she?...
Personality:
Maira's personality is the whole reason she doesn't have many friends. She is harsh and unforgiving, the usual persona any Scorpio would have. However there are far to many ways to describe her: harsh and heartless? a woman without a care? a complete freak? shady and quiet? rash and witty?
Like I said, there are fare too many ways to describe her. However the easiest to remember would be saying that she's temperamental (or tempermental), meaning moody, unpredictable, or too sensitive. In Maira's case, however, it means all of these three points.
Maira is a dark hearted woman who isn't too keen on 'being soft'. Her lips are always frowning and the closest smile you will ever get from her is a fake grin. It is improbable that you will see her smiling a real smile, but it does happen. Mostly you get a rough sneer and a narrowed glare before she leaves you in her dust. However she does have a heart, and you may see this rare show of warmth if you are somewhere away from a crowd. She also has a strange liking towards most orphans, whether she shows it or not. Her pokémon say this is because Maira herself is an orphan.
You don't want to get on her bad side, however. It is best if she gets on your bad side. Maira's three types: fire, fighting, and psychic, turned into a strong force. She has been who she currently is for a length of four years giving her lots of time to hone her battling skills. Plus she can whip out a pokéball at any time. If you dare ask, she will tell you how much badges she has- all eight from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn (these appear to be the oldest), Sinnoh, and a single Hoenn Hall Of Fame Ribbon. If you battle her it will be a bit hard to understand why she hasn't gone and fought the Elite and Champions of the other three regions, seeing as all of her pokémon are major powerhouses (even the younger ones- baby pokémon such as Igglybuff and Pichu- are rather fit and healthy). Thus her power as a trainer and a fighter herself is undeniably strong. However, like all real trainers and fighters she has her weaknesses. You just need to find them.
Ah, Maira truly is a strange being. Making a friend out of her is hard to do. She does have a small amount of friends that are friends BECAUSE... BECAUSE. Well, just because. Good luck on finding them- they aren’t even in Makinoshan Region.

History:
If you want to know about Maira's past you might as well figure out what my (me being Ex) full name is. In short no one really knows much about her past. However, this much can be said.
Born on November 2nd of 1990, Maira had the fortune of being in the rather 'high and mighty' Leagionarre family. A prestijuce family, their skills as pokémon trainers where legendary. However no one's skills had surpassed the duo Champions, Issilana and Haru Leagionarre, who also happened to be Maira's own parents, that year. However disaster had struck Makinoshan Region.
The whole region had begun to crystallize, starting in the once peaceful area of Evol Prairie (EE-vohl). This crystallization was a quick working force, taking over a quarter of the region in a scant month. Due to this many of the citizens fled on boats to other places of the world. However the poorer people of Makinoshan Region where unable to flee, trapped on the region to meet their doom.
The whole League had enough money to get helicopters and fly away that day. The whole League- First Gym Leader (Naomi Terra, a ground-type user) to the current Champions (once again, Issilana and Haru) had fled on helicopter, their families on boats. They thought they where safe...
Thought.
To their misfortune a wild Dragonaut was flying towards them, eyes emotionless and quite paranoid looking. As the group of thirteen helicopters flew over the land of Mossdeap, Hoenn, the wild Dragonaut had unleashed a Hype beam at the group. It hadn't directly hit any of them but it did destroy nearly all of them. The survivors where few- Alice Furaito (Fourth Elite, flying-type user), Naomi Terra (First Gym Leader, ground-type user), Anne Stewarts (Second Gym Leader, normal-type user), to name a few. Heaven knows how Issilana had known what was going to happen and tossed her young- four years old- daughter out of the helicopter before she had been killed. Then again, she always seemed to know what was going to happen. A fortune teller, perhaps?

I hit the character limit of 10 000! ZOMG I'M SUPER SPEZZIAL!
CONT.

We shall never know.
Well, the whole League had been destroyed. Alice Furaito, Issilana and Haru's closest friend, had quit out of despair. The other two- Naomi and Anne- had left, uneducated in rebuilding a whole League. Thus Makinoshan Region fell into ruins and was called a useless region for having minimal trainers and no League- or anything else special. Of course, time brings many things to many places.

"This boat leads to nowhere! There was almost no one on it! And I thought we could find our way to Sootopolis," The short trainer snapped angrily, stepping off the dock and her bare feet contacting the wet grass. Her sapphire and ruby gaze swept in front of her, taking in all her surroundings- a few logs houses here, a small amount of brick houses in the distance, and a sparkling fountain even farther off. There wasn't much in this town although the captain had called it Tearin Town. And Maira had to say, it was in an ever worse state that Littleroot. But there was something peaceful about it.

This something was an emotion of belonging. And Maira was never going to understand how that felt.

{I's 'unno, Angst,} The shiny combusken commented, lifting her faded red and black baseball cap with a single, strangely pearly white claw. She looked about with a strange, bright fuchsia gaze. {Seems strange- I kind like it.} Behind the two a kirlia with strange cyan hair stepped up.

{I'd have to agreed with Fire-Wing on this one- it really is quaint,} The smooth talking Psychic-Thought added his own comment, looking about. {Well, we might as well find a good place to say while we're here. Maybe some of the folks are nice.}

"Pfft, I bet we're going to have to sleep beside that fountain and on the benches. I mean, look at us! You two are shinnies and I'm... I'm..," She couldn't even say it. With a glare towards the small town Maira trudged forwards, frowning at everyone. She absentmindedly fingered with an old photograph from her travels nearly three years ago.

~~~
"Fearow darling, come down! You lunch is set!" Although noticeable old the sheen of youth shone in Alice's eyes. Waving towards the large bird who sat stubbornly in her large tree, Alice sighed, unable to get the large bird out. Fearow cawed before continuing to sleep on his branch. Wonderful. Alice's furret tail twitched and she sniffed at the air with her heightened sense of smell. "Well you certainly have a strange scent. Human yet kirlia and combusken mix, and I'm quite sure that the pokémon scent isn't those two on your side."
"Yeah, what do you care? I ask mind your own problems and hide that tail of yours. If you haven't noticed, most of us people are pretty hated by the others, even if we have been deemed harmless by the League," Recalling the ending of the criticism of the part human, part pokémon creatures known as pokémorphs, Maira remember how she herself had been made fun of by other 'morphs- simply because of the double pokémon DNA in her blood stream. She scowled. "So shut up an-"
"Hey Alice. Who's the ten year old?" A woman, around thirty years of age as it would seem, approached. To Maira's distaste this person was a human- probably going to make fun of the old woman and Maira herself. With and growled she wiped around, claws flashing in the summer sunlight.
Maira stared.
The human did not wish for hostility in anyway, her emotion sensing powers told her. In fact this woman seemed scared, stumbling back and releasing her Camerupt with pounded the ground, about to use Earthquake whenever he wanted to. Maira scowled, dropping her raised claws, and glaring at the trainer. However more surprises where in store.
"Hey, stay away from Naomi! You don't know much about Makinoshan Region, do you? We're accepted here!" Alice yelled at the double 'morph, running up to the former First Gym Leader. Naomi stood up, looking at the younger trainer with keen brown eyes. However Maira was blinking, as if they had just said a word she did not know...
Acceptance? She had never thought of that before. For Maira had never been accepted. Ever.
"Cammmer!" Naomi's camerupt snorted loudly, stomping the ground with enough force to make the ground violently tremble, using Fissure. With a loud scream that caused many faces to turn, Maira had been dropped into the crack in the ground, stuck between the earth. She glared. Her two pokémon had jumped out of the way, the Young Fowl Pokémon jumping and grabbing the tree in Alice's garden and the Emotion Pokémon also jumping backwards onto the ground, away from the dangerous Fissure. In the sudden fall Maira had absentmindedly grabbed her photograph and flung it into the air...
I'll finished this... LATER.
It's a good thing the c-boxes from PDMRI and PDMRII are the same.
